Brownies, Sourdough
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups fresh sourdough
1/3 cup buttermilk, kefir or yoghurt
½ cup coconut oil or butter, softened
1 cups Rapadura
3 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons chocolate extract (optional)
1 teaspoons sea salt
½ cup carob powder, or cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
¾ cup chocolate chips (optional)


DIRECTIONS:
Cream butter with Rapadura. Add eggs, extracts, salt, carob powder and baking powder.
Blend yoghurt into sourdough, add to butter mixture, and fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into a buttered and floured 9-inch by 13-inch pyrex pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
Allow to cool thoroughly and cut into squares.
